Bound in original publishers cloth, Westminster School library sticker on top board, spine darkened, binding in good clean solid condition. Internally, collation, frontis+xxx+192pp, 3 maps including frontis, school library bookplate on endpapers, no other wiriting or marking. Pages and illustrations in very good clean condition. Detailed description of Bombay of the early 1700s including buildings, people, customs, betel, forts, salt works, snake charmers, mealtime ceremonies, marriage customs, religions, Burnell's description of his travels in Bengal, Calcutta starting in 1712.
